Pollycraft Challenge #138 - Card and Matching Tag

Good morning all! Monday again, really?? That must mean another challenge over at Pollycraft! Loved all your takes on Arabella's sketch last week. This week luscious Lynsey has set the challenge of:

Easy peasy!!

For my card and tag I used Swings and Slides - Cheeky Monkey coloured with Promarkers, butter wouldn't melt eh?? The papers are Grace Taylor's "Playtime" which are great for children's cards. The sentiment is from Craftwork Cards and the buttons, letters and number sticker were in my stash. The tag was cut using a spellbinder die.

I would also like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Cute Card Thursday has a theme of Animal Magic - does this count??
Crafty Catz Weekly Challenge has a theme of Anything Goes.

Please do check out the personal blogs of my talented teamies and I hope we inspire you to join us this week!

Retail Therapy .....

Well yesterday's trip to Edinburgh went well - no disasters involving alcohol! Today is just a day of homework and housework (and hopefully some crafty time!).

Have a little card I would like to enter into the following challenges:

Divas by Design Challenge is looking for Buttons and/or Bows
Colour Create Challenge is looking for Rose Pink, Kraft and White
Just Magnolia is looking for Buttons and Bows

I think this fits the bill!

Tilda is coloured with promarkers (including Rose Pink!) The papers are Grace Taylor's "Playtime" and the flowers are a mixture from WOC and Crafty Emma's Store. The buttons and little bow were in my stash. The seam binding was coloured with the Rose Pink promarker to match. The sentiment is from Craftwork Cards.

Now, off to tackle the playroom which looks like a bombs dropped ..... deep joy!!

Thanks for stopping by!

CES Challenge #83 - Candy & Cupcakes

Good morning - I'm only a little bit late! Going into Edinburgh for the day with the girls from work for some retail therapy - one of our colleagues is getting married soon and we need to sort out outfits etc although I fear that it might not go too well - we are starting off with cocktails at Harvey Nichols before lunch!!

Anyway, loved looking at all your creations from last week - I do love buttons! This week Julie has set the theme of:

and I'm rather partial to them as well!!! For this one I went a bit vintage and used some toppers from ebay teamed up with Prima's "Nature Garden", card blank, sentiment and flowers (coloured with promarkers so they matched) all from Crafty Emma's Store.

Remember that Emma is have loads of special offers at the minute to clear her stock so do check the website regularly for bargains!!

Please do check out the creations from the rest of the team and I hope we inspire you to join us next week!

Sapphire Bloom

Good evening - thank goodness it's nearly the weekend! At the minute the boys are playing FIFA 2012 on the Wii so lots of "ref is blind", etc coming from the lounge! Hubby takes it far too seriously and forgets his playing with 2 small lads!

So here is another card using one of Pollycraft's new releases Sapphire Bloom 2 Hearts - isn't she so pretty? I have teamed her up with Prima's Pixie Glen collection and some TH sentiments at the bottom. The card blank and sentiment are from Craftwork Cards.

Over at Crafty Creations Challenge they are looking for "feminine cards for little girls" while at Passion for Promarkers they want "die cuts" so I have used a Magnolia doohickey die flower. Sapphire is coloured with Promarkers. Finally at Creative Inspirations they have the theme of Anything Goes. I think this card does the job! Little Sapphire Bloom has sticked wings which you can just about see!

Thanks for popping by!

Fairy Special

In Scotland, we are approaching the time where our S4-S6 pupils head off for study leave for their exams which start in May and lasts for about 6 weeks. This means that I have some free periods on my timetable to actually get work done and it doesn't have to be brought home, woohoo!! It puts me in a good mood just thinking about it!!

Paula over at Pollycraft has been a busy girl again and has produced 12 fab new images, one of which I have used today for my card entry into this week's Sunday Sketch & Stamp Challenge which is celebrating it's 3rd birthday!

For this week's challenge you can use any of the sketch's from the challenge - there are over 100 to choose from! I also want to enter this into the Oh La La Creations Challenge #103 - it's looking for Bold and Bright - I think black colouring makes anything bold!

Here is my card and the sketch I have used:

The lovely fairy is Celeste Amberglow - Fairy Special from Pollycraft. The papers are Echo Park's "Be Mine", the sentiment and card blank from Craftwork Cards. The flowers are a mixture from Crafty Emma's Store and WOC. I do love the colour combo of pink and black, especially for a teenage girly card! Celeste's wings have been stickled and the flowers have a little sprinkling as well!

Thanks for stopping by!

Pollycraft Sketch Challenge

Good morning all - hope you've all had a nice weekend? Mine was doing OK until I fell over a loose paving stone in town, went right down and have a mahoosive bruise on my knee and a swollen ankle! The worst thing - I landed on my asda shopping and hubby's fish pie - it is now a bit squished, lol!!

Anyway, loved all your cute critters last week and this week awesome Arabella has created a fantastic SKETCH to follow!

So here is my take:

For a change used a A6 card blank, the papers are the very lush MME "Kraft Funday", the sentiment and card candi are from Craftwork Cards and the image is the very gorgeous Sonny Honeycloud - My Way from Pollycraft. She's been supersized and coloured with promarkers - a skoosh to colour!

Now Paula has just added 12, yes 12!, new digis in the shop and they are fantastic - I have mine coloured up and ready to create with. There is also a smashing offer of 50% off when you buy 2 digis or more - do check out the website for details!

The winner of this challenge will receive 10 digis of their choice from Pollycraft - perfect to bag yourself some of the new ones!

Please do check out the personal blogs of my uber-talented teamies and I hope we inspire you to join us this week!

Button it!

Don't worry I'm not being rude!! That is this week's challenge over at CES as picked by Jenny!

We want to see buttons (more than one please!!) on your creations this week - I love buttons, I can always be found rummaging around our little button shop for them.

As you know Emma is closing down Crafty Emma's Store but there are still lots of bargains to be had as she still has stock to sell. Regularly check her website for special offers - so far there has been 25% of papers, card blank packs and reduced price Promarkers - I have been doing some stocking up!

Anyway, onto my card. From Crafty Emma's Store I have used Prima's "Meadow Lark" papers,  sentiment and flowers (which have been stickled a bit). The pearls, buttons and lace were in my stash. The is a LOTV Cute Square topper which are great for quick cards!

So remember to check out Crafty Emma's Store for bargains and do visit my teamies blogs to check out their makes!

Boldly going ....

... where no boy has gone before! Fabulous sketch this week over at Sketch Saturday so thought I would have a shot! Have used the Astronaut from LOTV and once again teamed it with Grace Taylor "Playtime" papers.

The sentiment is from Kanban and the charm and adhesive stars I had in my stash. I have used glossy accents on the helmets, although you can't see that from the picture!

Thanks for stopping by!

Dainty Dancing

Good morning! This is so unlike me to post during the week but I just seem to have had a bit more crafting time this week - not sure why! Youngest still off so no going out and about today, so probably more crafting for me!

Found a couple of challenges which I have not entered before: Sunday Sketch and Stamp Challenge  and Passion for Promarkers which this week has the theme of "Pink, Pearls and Lace". Here's what I came up with:

The image is the gorgeous LOTV "Dainty Dancing" coloured with Promarkers - I bought one of the these wooden body things so that I could see the effect of shadow on poses, hoping it makes my shading a bit better! The papers are First Edition "Isabelle" with the card blank, card candi and sentiment from Craftwork Cards. The flowers, charm and pearls are from my stash and the heart pin is from Hobbyhouse. Although you can't see it the flowers have been stickled along with the little cutie's skirt.

Thanks for popping by!

Ride with Me

Good afternoon! Well, following on from yesterday's tale of my youngest having sore legs, we went to the doctor this morning and it looks like a hip infection - even got a row from the doctor for suggesting youngest might be putting it on! Apparently children don't pretend these things - he should come round my house most weekday mornings - he would see an array of imagined ailments!!!

Anyway, got a little card to show you that I am entering into this week's The Sketchy Challenges and Lili's Little Fairies who has a theme of transport this week:

The papers are Grace Taylor's "Playtime" papers, the gorgeous image is LOTV "Ride with Me" coloured with Promarkers. The rosettes are American Craft and the ribbon is from TPC Studio. Everything else was lurking in my stash.

Thanks for stopping by!

Pollycraft Monday Challenge #136 - Cute Critters

Good evening all! It's been high drama here in the White house! Youngest decided yesterday that he could not put any pressure on his legs, no really! So the drama has continued today with him missing his first day back at school - and is generally feeling off - the question is, do I make an emergency doctor's appointment for him tomorrow? Is it a virus, is it growing pains? Who knows!

Anyway the alluring Anita has set this week's challenge over at Pollycraft and we want to see:

I chose the adorable Barclay for my cute critter and teamed him up with Grace Taylor "Playtime" papers, ribbon, buttons and flowers.

We are delighted to once again by sponsored by Crimson Cloud:

So do check out my teamies cute creations and I hope we inspire you to join us this week!

Loved looking at all your swirls and pearls last week - this week's theme has been set by Karen and she wants you to:

you can do as much or as little as you like for this one. I ended up paper piecing my whole image! I used First Edition "New Leaf" and Fizzy Moon "All About Him" stamp, card blank, twine and card candi all from Crafty Emma's Store.

Now you will know that Emma is closing down her store :( I have had a great 2 years on the DT and I've loved every minute of it and met so many fantastic crafters. Emma will be running various special offers and at the minute its 25% card blanks - I've already stocked up!

Love is in the air ....

... with this cutie new image from LOTV! It's a beautiful afternoon here and the White boys are away at their grandma and grandad's until tomorrow (and that includes hubby!!) so I've been pottering about, doing the housework and suiting myself - perfect!!

So, here is a little card I created using the great sketch from Sketch Saturday #202 and have combined it with this week's Lili's Little Fairies Ribbon, Buttons and Bows challenge:

The papers are from Prima's new pad "Fairy Belle" and are gorgeous. I also used some paper from an old book. The image is coloured with promarkers and the butterfly punch is a MS. The ribbon, charm, button and flowers are from my stash.

Thanks for stopping by!

Good morning all! That's the first week of the school holidays in and I still have all my hair and some money! The boys and I have just returned from a few days away in my parent's caravan - it was good fun and the boys were a mucky mess by the time we came back!

I was back in time to check out your gorgeous creations for last week's challenge - loved them all! This week, the vivacious Vicky has chosen the theme of:

which is dead easy (although I did realised that I had used diamonte for my swirls so had to quickly add some pearls somewhere on the card lol). Here is my creation:

From Crafty Emma's Store I have used Prima's Meadow Lark, sentiment, 6x6 card blank and card candi. The tag and bottle cap was from Ebay and the flowers and pearl pin I had in my stash.

As always Emma is offering one lucky winner £10 voucher (excl P&P) to spend at Crafty Emma's Store:
