CES Challenge - No Girls Allowed!!

Well the White house is geared up for 2 weeks of school hols - woohoo! I'll probably be penniless and knackered by the middle of the week!

Thanks for all your stunning creations for the Photo Inspiration challenge last week - you were awesome! This week Shell has picked the theme of:

As the only female in the White house I am quite used to this statement! Now, my card is not how it originally should have been - I had a small ink drama which resulted in the top half being unusable so I did a little jiggery pokery and used acetate instead - phew! The papers are the delish Prima "En Francais" from Crafty Emma's Store. The image and sentiment is from Kanban and the die cut is a TH coloured with distress ink. The little cogs were from Ebay, I think!

The winner of this challenge will receive £10 voucher (not incl P&P) for Crafty Emma's Store:

Crafty Emma's also has fantastic 25% off everything (except Gift Vouchers and Digi Images) until midnight 1 April so get over there and bag a bargain! Enter the code sale25 at checkout.

So do pop over to my talented teamies blogs and check out their fabulous creations and I hope we inspire you to join us this week!

Vintage cars .....

Good afternoon - I know it's very rare of me to post during the week but I was looking through my card photos on the computer and realised some of them were not made for challenges, just because I wanted to! So I thought I would share a couple using some toppers from Ebay - a store called Cardmaker's Delights - which has a fab range of vintage and steampunk toppers at great prices and a super fast delivery service!

Here are my two cards:

I used odds of paper from my box and added buttons and punched shapes. The sentiment is a LOTV one. The filigree corner was from Wild Orchid Crafts and the embossing folders used were Tim Holtz.

Enjoy the rest of this glorious day!

CES Challenge #78 - Photo Inspiration

Good morning all! One week closer to the school hols - yahoo!! It's been a tough term with prelims, assessments to complete and coping with staff absence!

Anyway, onto this week's CES Challenge which has been set this week by little old me and is:

This photo is gorgeous and is open to crafty interpretation - golds, pinks, green, cakes, teacups/teapots, butterflies and roses!

I went mostly for the colour combo but managed to squeeze in some butterflies and roses for good measure!!

The gorgeous papers are from Prima's new "Sun Kiss" pad - aren't they fab? The papers, butterfly button and card candi are from Crafty Emma's Store. Everything else was in my stash and the image is a ready coloured LOTV square topper. The seam binding and roses were coloured with a Promarker so it would match in.

The winner of this challenge will receive a £10 voucher (not incl P&P) to spend at Crafty Emma's Store:
Please do check out my very talented teamies creations and I hope we inspire you to join us this week!

A present for Mum!

Thought I'd share the handmade parts of my Mum's Mother's Day gift. Here is the card:

Used the new Prima "Meadow Lark" which is totally lush and available from Crafty Emma's Store. The image is a LOTV topper - the colours were a great match.

I also made this little noticeboard from an embroidery hoop and 2 teatowels!! The little pegs were from Hobbycraft.

CES Challenge #77 - Kolouring on Kraft!

Good morning all - look I actually have managed to post this before lunchtime lol! Only managed to get a half decent photo this morning so that's my excuse!

It's a lovely spring like day here today - had my hair cut so am feeling a bit pampered - will I be pampered tomorrow I wonder???

Now, Donna has set a real challenge this week:

Well I have to admit this one had me in a cold sweat - I just really struggle to colour on kraft, love it to mat with, but to colour on? Aaargh!! I think it's because I just can't get the colours the way I want them, particularly the whole skin colour thing.

So here is my offering:

I know I've gone more for a mono look with the image - it's one of the new Hero Art Cling stamps which I stamped onto kraft card with TH. I then used the same ink colour to colour the image, it kinda works I think!

From Crafty Emma's Store I have used Prima "En Francais" papers, Bakers Twine, Sentiment and Card Candi. Everything else was from my stash.

As always, this week's lucky winner will receive £10 voucher (not incl P&P) to spend at Crafty Emma's Store:

Please do pop over to my teamies blogs where you can see they have done much better than I have at colouring on kraft!! I hope we inspire you to join us this week!

Loved looking at all your teenage inspired creations from last week. This week, Joey has picked the theme of:

and there are signs that it has, little flowers in the garden, milder weather, so this week we want to see spring colours, images, spring flowers, etc - you get the idea!

For my card I have used First Edition "Spring Feast" papers, and a selection of flowers. The tulips and card candi have been colour coordinated using promarkers. The little cutie is Pollycraft's Swings and Slides Little Sprout and is available here. She is perfect for a spring card!
