Man of the Match!

I have been putting off having a major tidy of the boys' playroom - it's reaching the stage you can't see the floor and you can forget even playing in there! Will I do it today ..... probably not, lol!

Youngest is 6 at the start of June so made this card for him using a great sketch from the Sweet Stop who were also looking for the twist of ruffles. I made my ruffles from paper - I hope this counts!!

The paper pad I've used is Echo Park "A Boy's Life". The image is one of the new releases from LOTV - perfect for my football mad son! Under the number 6 is a gem star.

Up, Up and Away!

I've been doing well this week with the crafting although it's not crafting weather - woohoo for sunshine!!

This little card is based on a sketch from Sunday Sketch & Stamp. Have used a bundle of beary cuteness from LOTV so entering this into this week's challenge over at Lili's Little Fairies as well. It would be lovely going up in a balloon in this weather!

The papers were from a pad that was free in a craft magazine and the buttons were in my button tin. The little clouds are from my memory box die.

Thanks for popping by!

Time for Tea

Good morning all! Hope the weather's OK so far! I like Tuesdays because I'm not at work - hooray!

There is a fab sketch over at Sketch Saturday which I used for this card:

The papers are Dovecraft's "Tea Party" which I thought worked well with the LOTV topper. I also used the Tea Party bunting. The flowers are from my stash and the card blank, sentiment and card candi are from Craftwork Cards.

Thanks for visiting!

Special Friends

Good afternoon - the weather is finally gorgeous here, hooray! The boys are off playing football with hubby and I have some peace and quiet - bliss!!

Yesterday my oldest was 8 years old, eek, where does the time go? He had a party with 12 friends at a soft play so it was at least painless for us, until we had to pay the bill that is!!

I decided to spend some of my birthday money today and treated myself to a Kindle touch. I'd spent ages saying that I preferred to read a "real" book and a Kindle wasn't the same but it would be handy for the holidays - sometimes I pack more books than clothes, I love reading!!

Anyway, enough blethering and onto my card. Entering this into a few challenges:

Divas by Design are Ticked Pink!
Cute Card Thursday are looking for a Touch of Sparkle! and
Crafty Catz Weekly Challenge wants to Hear it from the Girls! (and have a DT call!)

I do love this LOTV image which I've coloured with Promarkers. The wings have been glamour dusted (I think you can just about see some shimmer!). The papers are Dovecraft's "Back to Basics" which includes lovely pinks and the flowers are from my stash. The card blank, sentiment and card candi are from Craftwork Cards. The flowers have also been sparkled up with some stickles!

Thanks for popping by!

Rosie Posy

Evening all! Middle of the week already, this means work for me tomorrow :<

Haven't made a card for a few days, just seem to have lots of other things to do and was just not organised to get crafty!

Got a little birthday card to show you using LOTV "Rosie Posy" coloured with Promarkers. I've also layered her up a bit which, thanks to the angle of the photo, makes her fringe look a bit severe!!

The papers are Fancy Pants "It's the Little Things" which I have not used for ages. The card blank, card candi and sentiment are from Craftwork Cards. The flowers are from various places!

I have used the lovely sketch from Sunday Sketch & Stamp and would also like to take part in the Crafty Catz Weekly Challenge of Happy Birthday!

I hope you enjoy the rest of the week and see you soon!

Pollycraft Monday Challenge #139 - Colour Inspiration Photo

Good evening all - this post is really late, sorry! I do have an excuse though! I celebrated my 40th birthday yesterday with a party and I didn't have enough time to write this up. I had a lovely time and received many lovely presents - I'm very lucky! My mum also made me a scrapbook charting my life from birth until now, it was very emotional!

Anyway, it is my turn to host this week's Pollycraft Challenge and I have chosen a photo to inspire you! All you have to do is use it for:

So hidden in there are pinks, reds, creams and white - I think there is also some blue and purple lurking!

Now isn't this fella too cute?? He's Love Monster from Pollycraft and I've used promarkers to colour him in. The papers are Dovecraft's Back to Basics and the candi and sentiment are from Craftwork Cards. Simples!

We are delighted to be sponsored by Bunny Zoe's Crafts which is offering the winner a £10 voucher to spend.

So I do hope we have inspired you to join us this week and I look forward to seeing your creations.

Marley Bloom

Good evening! I had meant to get this posted a bit earlier but things got in the way! I have been doing well with regular postings but I can say in advance that apart from this card, I've only made some commissions so I don't think I will have anything else to post until Saturday due do that irritating thing called work!

Created this card with a few challenges in mind. The little cutie pie is Pollycraft's Marley Bloom who has been coloured with Promarkers. The papers are Crate Paper's "Neighbourhood Collection".  The beads were in my stash as were the pearls.

The challenges I want to enter are:

Sketch Saturday - fab sketch to use

Boys, Boys, Boys

Good afternoon - hope you're all back to normal after the holiday weekend? I always end of feeling a day behind! Our trip to Edinburgh Castle was really good and was enjoyed by all. We then went to the Museum of Childhood which has a collection of the most (not intentionally) creepy dolls ever.

Anyway, want to use this week's fab sketch over at Sunday Sketch and Stamp along with Lili's Little Fairies  "Anything Goes". I hope this card is also suitable for Ooh La La Creations "Make it Manly" theme.

Unusually, used an 8x8 card blank to fit my stamped LOTV images on and used up some random pieces of paper! The buttons were from my button box (they have card candi on the top of them).

I think I might keep this card for the boys to give on Father's Day in June!

Thanks for visiting!!

Oh dear .... hope I've gotten better!!!

Evening all - just read this on Joey's post and thought I'd give it a bash! Sandra has set a challenge of daring us to show some of our first forays into cardmaking and comparing them to what we make now. Well, how could I resist!

So here goes!!!

Oh dear! Hopefully I have improved - what do you think??

It's a fun challenge so do pop over the Sandra's blog and join in!!

At the Circus

Good morning all and happy Bank Holiday for those of you in the UK! Oldest son and I are about to head off to Edinburgh Castle for the day (youngest doesn't want to go and will stay with dad) although I hope the rain stays off long enough! Typical for a Bank Holiday in May!

Anyway, have a little card to show you starring Pollycraft's Biscuit Circus - isn't he cute? Paula's offering a great deal at the minute - Build a Bundle - you get to choose your own digis, 10 digis for  £3.99 or 20 digis for £4.99 which is fantastic value! Also the Pollycraft Monday Challenge is going fortnightly so the next challenge will be announced on 14 May, so you still have time to enter the current challenge.

I would like to enter this card into 2 challenges:

Cute Card Thursday are looking for One for the Boys and the Secret Crafter Challenge had a fab sketch to follow:

The papers were scraps I had and the sentiment is computer generated. The number is from a pack of Thickers and the buttons and ribbon were in my stash.

Thanks for stopping by!

Baby Girl

Good afternoon - hope you've been enjoying the weekend? Here in the White house we've been to softplay, gone shopping and played football outside (you'll notice there's no mention of housework!).

Managed to sneak in some crafty time and have created a card which I want to enter for this week's Monochromatic theme over at Divas by Design Challenge:

The papers are Dovecraft "Back to Basics" and of course baby Tilda is coloured with promarkers. The sentiment, card blank and card candi are from Craftwork Cards and the flowers are a mixture of Wild Orchid Crafts and Crafty Emma's Store. The little cabochon flowers was from Ebay. The flowers have a little glitter on them and the dummy has a coat of glossy accents.

CES Challenge #84 - Shape it Up!

Good morning - thank goodness it's Saturday! Yesterday's exams went OK - I spent the time trying not to look at the panicking faces of the pupils, lol! Glad it's over.

Anyway, Saturday does mean a new CES Challenge and this week Carrie wants to see you:

Don't worry, we're not asking you to dust off those fitness DVDs (god forbid)! We want to see shaped cards so NO squares or rectangles - simples!

My little creation uses Prima "En Francais" papers, flower petals and card candi all from Crafty Emma's Store. The sentiment is Kanban and the pearls and seam binding were from my stash:

Please remember that Emma's having some smashing closing down offers so do keep an eye on the shop:

My talented teamies have certainly shaped up this week, so do check out their personal blogs to see what they've come up with! I hope we inspire you to join us this week!

Birthday Candy!

This month I celebrate the big 40 (don't say it too loudly!!) and to celebrate I would love to give away some candy at the end of the month.

If you would like a chance to win these goodies, then all you have to do is leave me a comment to this post - you don't have to become a follower (although you can if you wish!) and if you would like to mention it on your blog that would be great but not compulsory!

There are card blanks, paper pad, clear stamps, stickers, sentiment sheet, flowers, buttons, charms, brads, doilies, sticky pads, glue pen, white seam binding and a few more bits and bobs.

I will announce the winner on 31 May!

Mmm Chocolate!

Well the last day of the week - thank goodness! Busy week at work, as usual. It is SQA exam day for our department today - Intermediate 1 and 2 Administration - I get to see all those worried faces (nearly as worried as them as I want them to pass!!). They have to wait until August to find out how they did. I remember those days well, waiting for the postman - although nowadays you can get your results by text!

Anyway, enough school talk! This card has a LOTV image which I haven't use before but decided it fitted in very nicely with this week's challenge over at Creative Inspirations - Animal Antics. The papers are from Papermania "Tea Party" along with ribbon. I put little gems between the flags as the card is rather plain and simple. The little sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps and has a matching die cut.

Well better get a bash on with my CES DT card ......

Thanks for visiting!!

Lollipop

Good morning all! Fast approaching the weekend which suits me fine! The weather here has been a bit better although still a bit cold - won't be breaking out the shorts yet!

This week's Sunday Sketch and Challenge is a nice and simple. I have used another Pollycraft new digi image - Swings and Slides Lollipop (coloured with promarkers). Wish I had a lolly that big! The papers are once again Grace Taylor's Playtime and I kept it pretty simple (bit like myself). The sentiment and card blank are from Craftwork Cards and the twine and gems were in my stash. I have put glossy accents on the lolly - well they are shiny aren't they??

Thanks for stopping by!

Let's Celebrate!

Half way through the work week, hooray! Been getting into the swing of reasonably regular postings - it just requires me to be a bit more organised than usual! Also, there are so many fabulous challenges to choose from - this time I have following the fab sketch over at Sketch Saturday and over at Lollipop Crafts they are looking for Anything Goes!

Used the very topical Portobello Road from Papermania along with the stamp set. The card candi and card blank are from Craftwork Cards. The twine and charm are from my stash. The very patriotic little bear is another new release from Pollycraft - Biscuit Jubilee Flags. Isn't he adorable??

Thanks for stopping by!

Never too old for a hug .....

.... so true!! I love this little LOTV image and sentiment. The sun was trying to peek through today although it was still cold - a warming hug would have been great!!

The challenge over at Passion for Promarkers they are looking for Bright & Light  - either dark bright papers and light colouring or vice versa - I went for bright papers and light colouring (I hope!)

I have also used Jacque's Sketch over at Lili's Little Fairies which I loved using. Things with Wings is the theme over at Anything Goes Challenge. Here's what I came up with:

The LOTV image was coloured with promarkers and her wings have been glamour dusted. The papers are the very lush MME "Love Me" and the flowers are a mixture of WOC and Crafty Emma's Store. The card candi are from Craftwork Cards.

Thanks for visiting!

72 and Sunny ....

... I wish! Not sure we even reach temperatures like that in Scotland!! It is actually the name of the WRMK papers I have used for this little card - I was hoping I would heat up a bit if I used bright, summery colours!

I have followed the great sketch at Sweet Sketch Wednesday and would also like to enter this into this week's theme of "Here comes Summer" over at OSAAT:

The ice cream loving monkey is of course Pollycraft's Chester Cool - one of the new releases. His glasses have glossy accents on them to give them some shine and the little sprinkles on the cone are little beads which I had lying around.

Thanks for stopping by!
