New Job Card

This is a little card I made to celebrate a colleague getting a promotion - the image is so cute and kind of appropriate! Just back from a lovey weekend of shopping Glasgow with my mum and sister - stayed in a hotel, ate lots of food and have very few pennies left, lol!!!

Shock horror - not a Christmas Card in sight!!!

I have a few birthdays coming up (well not me personally lol!) and this one is for my cousin who is a fireman. I love the Dustin Pike images and this fits the bill perfectly. Kept it simple - I always find it difficult to find the right embellies for a male card. Anyway, hope you like!

I also decided to give away all my christmas cards to my son's school christmas fayre - it gives me a reason to keep making more christmas cards now that I don't have any left!!!

Feeling Christmassy .....

Love this little guy! Did some paper piecing for his parcels and some glamour dust for snow. Again this from a sketch which caught my eye but can't remember where from, lol! Been making good progress with the christmas shopping although there are a few sticking points, eg DH!! Maybe inspiration will strike soon.

Pollycraft Monday Challenge #28 - No Cards Allowed!

Had a fab time with this challenge! I'm on a major christmas drive at the minute so no surprises with this offering. As the mum of 2 young boys I seem to spend quite a lot of time telling them that Santa is watching and will know if they have been good boys or not (usually when they are up to mischief at the time!!) so that was my inspiration for this challenge.

This sign was very straightfoward - used a Pollycraft Friday Freebie from a few weeks ago and layered him up for some depth. My Quickutz provided the lettering (before anyone complains about my spelling, I meant it!!!). The circle is just some chipboard covered in white card onto which I had printed the phrases. The spinner hand was in my stash - I'd been wondering how to use it!!! A litte bit of red ribbon as the hanger finished it off. All we have to do now is hang it up and hope Santa's in a good mood!!!!

Forever Friends Christmas

I do love the Forever Friends bears. I also love card sketches, especially when you need a bit of inspiration. So these 2 cards are based on card sketches - using the same images and nearly all the same papers but they look so different. Paper pieced his coat and then used the same paper on the card, thought it tied it in nicely. As usual, used the old Promarkers and some glamour dust for snow.

Pollycraft Monday Challenge #27 - A Sketch by Paula

Here is my entry for the latest Pollycraft Monday Challenge based on a sketch by Paula. I was lucky enough to win the "Sweet Dreams Christmas Kit" in the last challenge so naturally I used it for this entry! It was a fab sketch to work from and I will be using it again. I used Promarkers to colour the image and Glamour Dust on her hood.

Bronte and Bella

This gorgeous image is "Bronte and Bella Ice Skating" from Digital Pencil. I decided to go for blues and pinks for this one and used some paper from Pink Petticoat's "Fairy Lights" collection. Ice skating is one thing I can't do - always afraid I would hurt myself!!

Magnolia Christmas

The weather here in Scotland has not been very good for the last few days so getting a decently lit photo is not very easy! Usually I have made all my christmas cards by now but not so organised this year! I used the same image for these 2 cards and went with traditional colours.
