Pollycraft Monday Challenge #86 - Friends

Morning! Hope it's nice where you are - still trying to get use to the time change! Jane has set this week's fab Pollycraft challenge and we want to see a card which is all about:

I am very lucky to have great friends who I can have a laugh and a moan with (they also know too many things about me now!)

My card has the gorgeous image of "Foxy and Chicken Cuddle" from Pollycraft - don't they look like great friends? The papers are Pink Petticoat and the buttons are Papermania.

The lucky winner will receive a 5 pack of Promarkers from Letraset - perfect for colouring in those Pollycraft images!

Please pop over to the challenge blog to check out the fabulous creations from our DT. Thanks for visiting!

CES Challenge #29 - Die Cut Crazy

Hooray it's Saturday! That means its time for another challenge over at CES! This week CraftyC has picked the theme of Die Cut Crazy. I recently purchased a Spellbinder Grand Caliber (don't tell hubby he hasn't noticed yet!!) so I put my labels die to good use to make this wedding card:

Used Fancy Pants "It's the Small Things" 6x6 paper pad from Crafty Emma's Store. The sentiment is from Inkadinkado and the flowers are my own creation. The swirls are made from Magnolia Doo Hickey die.  The charm is from my stash.

Emma's offering a fab prize this week, a scalloped edge clock kit:

Emma is also having a sale 10% off everything (exc pre-orders, gift vouchers & digital images) until 8am Monday 28th March.

Enter the code MARCHSALE at checkout to receive your discount.

Pop over to the challenge blog to check out the DTs creations for this great challenge!

Pollycraft Monday Challenge #85 - Swirls and Pearls

Happy Monday - it's quite spring like here, although a little blowy. Lynsey has set this week's Pollycraft challenge and chose the fab theme of "Swirls and Pearls".

The lucky winner of this challenge will get 10 digis from Pollycraft - what a prize as there are loads of digis to choose from!

Here is my little offering:

The image is one of Pollycraft's "Swings and Slides" collection coloured with Promarkers. The swirl is die cut from a Magnolia Doo Hickey and the sentiment is from Craftwork Cards. The gorgeous papers are Fancy Pants "It's the Little Things" available from Crafty Emma's Store.

The flowers are of my own creation - I cut out 4 circles from organza then held each layer over a lit tealight until they started to curl. I then put a pearl brad through each one - I was quite impressed with myself, I've also made them out of nylon although they look a bit more singed round the edges lol!!

Please pop over to the challenge blog to see the fantastic inspiration from the GDT and DT.

Thanks for visiting!!

CES Challenge #28 - Your Favourite Song or Inspired by a Song

I know, I know late again! Ended up watching too much Comic Relief on Friday (forgot to schedule post!) and was busy yesterday. Anyway ...

this week's fab CES Challenge is "Your Favourite Song or Inspired by a Song" as set by Carrie.

Up for grabs this week is a Sugar & Spice Decoupage and Paper Kit:

I have to admit this did have me stumped but I finally settled on:

Rihanna "Umbrella":

Used MME "Hattie" 6x6 paper pad from Crafty Emma's Store. The handle of the umbrella is a cut down wooden skewer which I coloured with a brown promarker. I found these blue gems which where perfect raindrops and the sentiment is Inkadinkado. The umbrella charm is from ebay.

Please pop over to the challenge blog and have a look at the inspirational creations from the GDT and DT!

Cards for Men #6 meets Digital Tuesday #102!

Good afternoon! Managed to squeeze in a little crafting today and came up with this little offering:

The layout is from the latest challenge at Cards for Men who are also holding a DT call. Unlike some crafters I like making male cards - its more of a challenge thinking about what to use instead of flowers, lace and glitter!! I am also outnumbered in my household so lots of male cards need to be made!

I am also putting this forward for Digital Tuesday which has a theme of "It's a Magical World" - I think this swashbuckling dragon fits the bill!

The Dragon is a digi image from Dustin Pike and is coloured with Promarkers. The papers are Crate Paper "Toy Box" collection and is available from Crafty Emma's Store. The sentiment is from Woodware "Pirate Mischief" stamp set. The charm, brads and bead are from my stash.

The Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge - SSS99

Hope its not too wet where you are - the boys took part in a "human bus" to school in the pouring rain this morning and we got rather wet! The laugh was I parked the car at school (as youngest's nursery is not at oldest's school), walked back up the hill to the meeting point then walked back to school in convoy. I'm looking forward to when both boys are in the same place!

Anyway, onto this challenge card for the latest Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge. Yet again I have used a cutie from Pollycraft's new release "Swings and Slides" - how cute is he?!

The papers are WRMK "72 & Sunny" which are lovely and glittered (although not obvious in the photo!) The sentiment is from Craftwork Cards and everything else is from my modest stash!!

Sketch Saturday #146

I haven't taken part in any challenges for ages (apart from my DT commitments) and its a very poor show which I aim to put right!

I do love working with a sketch and this week's Sketch Saturday is a good one!

This little cutie is from the newly released "Swings and Slides" Collection from Pollycraft and is a set of fabby boys and girls which are perfect for children's cards.

The DP is the fabby MME "Hattie" - loving the colours of this pad. It is available from Crafty Emma's Store as well as the Card Candi. The sentiment is from Craftwork Cards.

Thanks for visiting!

Friday Sketchers #145

Good afternoon - have all my boys home from school/nursery and it's bedlam here!! I haven't entered into a Friday Sketchers Challenge for ages so here goes with this week's one!

This little fella is one of the newly released "Swings and Slides" collection from Pollycraft - isn't he cute? The collection is fab and is perfect for those children cards.

The papers are Basic Grey "Oliver" (except the panel which is from a book) and are available at Crafty Emma's Store (along with other delish goodies!!). The sentiment is from Craftwork Cards and everything else is from my stash.

Thanks for visiting!

Pollycraft Monday Challenge #84 - Teen Cards

Good afternoon (you hadn't noticed I was late posting this did you .....) As always can't believe Monday arrives so soon after the weekend!

This week's Pollycraft Challenge has been set by yours truly and the theme is TEEN CARDS - not that my boys are anywhere near that age but I thought it would tie in very nicely with fab images from Pollycraft!

The winner of this week's challenge will get a £10 voucher to spend at:

For my card I've used Jerry Kisses Tunes from Pollycraft and the papers are from WRMK "Teen Angst" which I found in TKMaxx of all places - they do have some fab crafting bargains!

Jerry was coloured in with Promarkers and I have to admit I had to Google to find out what text speak was for Happy Birthday (God, I'm getting old!!!). The card candi is from Crafty Emma's Store.

Please pop over to the Challenge blog and have a look at the fab creations from the GDT and DT! Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

CES Challenge #27 - Men Only

Good morning - can't believe it's snowing here! This week's new challenge at CES is

MEN ONLY

This week's lucky winner will receive a fantastic Paws-Fur-A-Moment stamp set from Crafty Emma's Store:

For my card I had the brainwave of supersizing the digi image "Ronnie Relaxing" which is on sale at Emma's store. He is coloured with promarkers and I carefully cut round the image, keeping a little bit at the top of the seat connected, to make a shaped card. The sentiment was from Ebay.

This digi was created especially for Emma to help raise money for a charity close to her heart.

Pop over to the Challenge Blog and have a look at all the great creations from our GDT and DT - there's loads of inspiration on there! I look forward to visiting your creations!
